Knot balm - 10g tube

$7.00

Most emroiderers have heard of/used thread gloss or thread conditioner and know just how much of a difference it makes to stitching, especially the infamous black thread and it's tendency to be fluffy (I'm looking at you DMC 310). This balm will smooth down those fly away fibres keeping your stitches smooth and silky. It helps reduce the dreaded knots (hence the pun-ny name) that happen when using longer lengths of thread and allows your thread to glide through your fabric with ease.

Made with all natural ingredients and zero nasty chemicals, Knot balm contains 100% pure beeswax and virgin coconut oil ethically and locally sourced here in Queensland. There is also a soy based version for a vegan option. What's the difference between the beeswax and soy? Not a whole lot. The beeswax is slightly firmer than the soy so you may need to pass your thread over the beeswax Knot balm twice, whereas the soy bas is slightly softer and one pass over with your thread should suffice.

Simply cut your desired length of thread, drag it over your Knot balm once or twice then pull it through your finger tips to ensure an even coating and stitch away! Your thread will be smooth and silky, gliding through your fabric easily and those annoying knots shouldn't bother you anymore. The beauty of this tube is that as your Knot balm runs out you simply twist the bottom of the tube up to reveal more balm. Just like a lip balm tube. But it's NOT balm, it's Knot balm! Get it? Ok, that was lame I know.

Each Knot balm is hand poured and each label is stuck on by me. Just little old me. So there may be imperfections here and there but looks aren't everything, it's what's on the inside that smooths your stitches.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to strict customs regulations I am unable to ship to some countries as the balm contains beeswax which is an animal product. However most countries do allow the soy version. If you don't see your country listed at checkout it means I haven't been able to find sufficient information as to whether I can send this balm to that country, but I am working on it. Thank you for understanding.
